RUARIDH had two great swims breaking his entry time on both and well deserved as he trains really hard. As he is starting to grow, height wise, it is now time to change his freestyle stroke as well as his backstroke which I feel sure will smash his entry times even further in the next gala. It goes to show if you stick in at training then you will reap the rewards so well done Ruaridh.

LEWIS. smashed his entry times by a fair distance and this was a culmination of hard work and taking on board what we are teaching him. Lewis is now showing the promise he showed when joining the team and I feel sure this is just the start of many good swims in the future. Well done Lewis .

RUBY obliterated her entry times and would have brought her PB down even further on backstroke had she not messed up her last turn. Ruby carried out her underwater phase on free exactly as planned and hit 1.18 which was an immense swim showing that she is a very fast swimmer indeed. Breaking through the 1.20 barrier on free at her age is no mean feat but to go 1.18 is shifting big style.Well done Ruby.

KARA despite having just recovered from a bout of tonsillitis still posted two personal bests and once again showed if you work hard you will get there. These swims were excellent and she shows that her second fifty metre on both 100,s in training whilst hard are making a huge difference. I was impressed with her times given her bouts of illness. Well done Kara.

EMMA hit two personal bests and broke the 1.16 on free which she has been trying to do for some time. Her second 50 of each 100 has proved in the past to be her problem however she has now overcome that by keeping her stroke count longer. Delighted for Emma as she always has a smile on her face and those swims were brilliant so keep up the good work and I think there is a lot more to come in future swims.

DARCEY despite now only training two times a week, hit times on both swims equal to her personal bests. If she had come out her last turn on both swims straight rather than at an angle near the lane rope then she would have smashed her times. Darcey always trains hard and this helps tremendously with her swims. good going Darcey.

Tim had a problem with his goggles on his backstroke so much so that he had to stop and to say he was raging would be an understatement. Tim however was trying to get below 1.10 on his freestyle swim for the first time and he smashed it going a very low 1.07. It was great to see him smile after this one and his turns were excellent despite him hating doing them in training. Well done to him coming back strong on this swim.

The aerobic training base now established in all scorpion swimmers has meant that adding lactic sets although very tough means the 100 metre swim’s especially second fifty is now a lot stronger. This is definitely showing in the times being posted however this is just the start and training will get a lot tougher but I am sure you will be all reap the benefit moving forward,

That all for just now but very pleased indeed with the massive progress being made so far.
